A very ideal exercise to get a flat stomach is engaging in lots of sit-ups. Even though some people don’t agree that sit-ups work, they still do, especially if done right. You see, it is significant to have in mind that sit ups that are performed wrongly or poorly can bring about severe back and neck pains. You have to be careful and when you think something is wrong, don’t go any further.
To perform a sit up, sleep on your back on a carpet, put your hand in a cross shape over your chest, making sure each of your fist is on the opposite shoulder. Work your knee in a way that they are looking towards the ceiling and your feet flat upon the ground and your shoulder apart.
Tilt your knees so that they are looking to the ceiling; ensure that your body is balanced and stable. Fix your eyes on a specific area on the ceiling. Make sure you do not stare away from this area throughout the exercise. Gradually, but fluidly attempt to sit up. Keep on until you can sense a little burn in your abs then wait for three seconds.
Gradually but fluidly reverse to your beginning position on the ground. Do this as many times as possible. Don’t forget to fire your eyes on that area on the ceiling and aviod moving your head, never clench your neck as this can cause spasm to it in no time, there is no need for you to sit up completely. Just a bit so you can sense your abdominals working.
